Neck Lift (Nefertiti Neck Lift)
Definition and causes:
This is a treatment to relax the muscular bands of the platysma muscles in the neck which can create the appearance of jowls and ‘turkey neck’
The main causes of ‘turkey neck’ are age related loss of muscle tone, skin elasticity and fat. Gravitational descend of facial soft tissues can be a contributory factor.
Treatment:
A series of wrinkle relaxing injections with Botulinum Toxin (Botox) is an effective treatment for relaxation of the platysma muscles which lets the opposing muscles to elevate the lower face and reduce the appearance of prominent muscle bands on the neck. This results in an enhancement of the jawline definition, softening of the jowls and creating a lift in the lower face.
This treatment can be combined with dermal filler and/or skin booster injections
