Restore. Regenerate. Rejuvenate.
What Are Regenerative Skin Treatments and How Do They Work?
Regenerative skin treatments work with your skin's own natural repair processes to improve skin quality from within. Rather than adding volume or simply hydrating the skin, they stimulate repair pathways, encourage collagen and elastin production, and improve the skin's overall health and resilience over time.
Different regenerative treatments work in different ways. Some stimulate fibroblasts to produce new collagen, while others provide essential nutrients, amino acids or signalling molecules that support tissue repair and improve the skin's environment.
These treatments are ideal for improving skin texture, elasticity, hydration, fine lines, acne scarring and overall skin quality while maintaining completely natural-looking results.
At Silvie Aesthetics & Wellness, every consultation, assessment and treatment is personally carried out by Silvie, Independent Nurse Prescriber. Treatment recommendations are carefully tailored to your individual skin concerns, anatomy and long-term goals.
Treatment Explained
What results can I expect and how long do they last?
Regenerative treatments produce gradual, subtle improvements rather than immediate or dramatic changes. As your skin repairs and renews itself, you can expect improvements in skin quality, texture, hydration and firmness, with results continuing to develop over several weeks or months. Depending on the treatment chosen, results typically last between 6–18 months, with maintenance treatments helping to prolong the benefits.
What Are the Benefits of Regenerative Treatments?
Regenerative treatments work with your skin's natural repair processes to improve skin quality gradually and naturally. Depending on the treatment selected, benefits may include:
-
Stimulates collagen and elastin production to soften early lines, improve skin texture and restore a fresher, healthier appearance.
-
Supports the skin's natural repair processes to improve firmness, resilience and elasticity, helping address mild skin laxity.
-
Revitalises tired-looking skin by improving hydration, cellular function and skin quality for a brighter, more radiant complexion.
-
Encourages tissue remodelling and collagen production to improve the appearance of acne scars, enlarged pores and uneven skin texture.
-
Improves the quality of delicate under-eye skin by enhancing hydration, elasticity and skin thickness while reducing crepey texture and fine lines.
-
Targets one of the first areas to show ageing by improving skin quality, firmness and hydration while reducing fine lines and crepey skin.
-
Strengthens weakened skin by stimulating natural repair pathways, improving resilience, elasticity and overall skin health.
-
Enhances the skin's ability to repair itself by supporting collagen, elastin and healthy cellular activity, leading to stronger, healthier-looking skin over time.
Are there any side effects?
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising and small injection marks are the most common side effects and usually settle within a few days. As with all injectable treatments, rare complications will be discussed fully during your consultation.
Who Are Regenerative Treatments Suitable For?
Regenerative treatments may be suitable if you are looking to improve skin quality rather than significantly alter your facial features. They are ideal for individuals who wish to prevent or address the early and visible signs of ageing through a natural, gradual approach.
Are the treatments painful?
Most regenerative treatments involve only mild discomfort. A topical anaesthetic cream can be applied where appropriate to improve comfort. Treatment is generally well tolerated and most appointments take between 30 and 60 minute.

What is the aftercare advice?
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms and excessive heat for 24 hours. Keep the treated area clean and avoid applying make-up for several hours if advised. Follow your personalised aftercare instructions, and contact the clinic if you have any concerns.
Which Regenerative Treatment Is Right for Me?
Regenerative treatments work through different biological pathways to improve skin quality, collagen production and tissue repair. The most suitable treatment depends on your skin concerns, the treatment area and whether your priority is hydration, repair, collagen stimulation or structural renewal.
During your consultation, Silvie will assess your skin and recommend the treatment—or combination of treatments—that is most appropriate for your goals, creating a personalised treatment plan designed to deliver natural, progressive results.
